AUGUST 2026

Express Yourself

  Two eclipses. One Blond Ambition

tour through your entire identity.

If August had a musical director, it would be Madonna circa 1989, fresh off burning a persona in public, unbothered, already building the next one, because that's what this month does to all of us: a total solar eclipse in Leo on the 12th takes the costume, and a lunar eclipse in Pisces on the 28th takes the fantasy underneath it. You enter August as your greatest hits. You leave as the new album nobody saw coming. HOROSCOPES FOR ALL ZODIAC SIGNS

Madonna is the right guide here for a reason that's bigger than the outfits. Her entire career runs on the exact axis these eclipses are activating: Leo (the individual, the icon, the face on the poster) versus Aquarius (the collective, the movement, the culture shifting because one person refused to behave). Every reinvention she ever pulled was a self-administered eclipse —

Kill the persona before it kills you,

and do it in front of everyone.

That's the assignment this month.

Strike a pose. Then let it go.

Week One: The Warm-Up Act (Aug 1–11)

The month opens gently, almost suspiciously so. On the 6th, Venus sways into Libra until September 9th. Love wants beauty and someone who texts back in full sentences. The same day, the Sun trines Saturn: a rare moment where your heart's desire and your five-year plan are in the same room and actually getting along. Get serious about what you want. On the 9th, Mercury enters Leo, and the group chat could get theatrical. Some start speaking in headlines, while others are just extra. This is a Justify My Love communication climate… say it with your chest or don't say it at all.

Then the 10th and 11th stack the deck. Venus beams her kisses to Pluto, relationships are transforming at depth, the good kind of intense, then opposes Neptune, the absolute peak of the rose-tinted filter.

Gorgeous for art, vision boards,

and falling in love with possibility...

but risky for signing anything or believing

a situationship's press release.

La Isla Bonita energy: beautiful, dreamy…possibly not a real place. Meanwhile thanks to the karmic North Node and Mars connecting, action taken now takes a fated turn. Mars then slides into Cancer on the 11th, where it stays protective and emotionally armed. The same day Mercury opposes Pluto: a deeply psychological day where one sentence can renovate an entire self-image. It won't sound soft, but necessary. Consider this the sound check.

August 12: Total Solar Eclipse in Leo, 20° — The Recast

Here it is. The Sun goes dark in the sign the Sun owns, the star of the show producing, directing, and starring in its own blackout. This is a total solar eclipse, the first visible from the mainland Europe since 1999, sweeping over Greenland, Iceland, the Atlantic, and Spain. Ask yourself who you were in 1999. That's the scale of costume change on the table, because Leo and Aquarius don't run this play again until 2035.

The North Node currently sits in Aquarius, making this a South Node eclipse in Leo. Leo isn't being crowned here exactly, but being asked to hand something back. The persona that photographs well but no longer fits. The applause you outgrew but kept performing for. This is your moment: hold up the sword, let the sky crack, and let the meek cover identity burn off to reveal what was underneath the whole time.

Express Yourself isn't a suggestion this month,

more like the eviction notice on your old brand.

The support system is unusually generous: Jupiter and Mercury flank the eclipse in Leo, so whatever gets stripped gets rewritten bigger. The ego death comes with scaffolding. You're renovating, and there's a structural engineer on site. Lose the performance and keep the fire.

The Victory Lap (Aug 13–21)

Post-eclipse, the sky throws a release party. The 13th Mercury sends sparkles to Venus, bringing flirtation with excellent copywriting. The 15th is the month's golden ticket: Mercury kisses Jupiter in Leo, an obscenely lucky day for ideas, pitches, scripts, and launches. Get Into the Groove if you've been waiting to put something into the world, this is the date. The 17th splits the difference: Mars clashes with Neptune bringing possible tempers and confusion but as long as you align words with action you can watch doors open and turn this day into genuinely one of the best date nights of the season (cheesy is permitted).

Then the 21st delivers the invoice: Venus opposes Saturn. The reality check in love and money. If it's real, this transit makes it official. If it's a fantasy in a trench coat, this is where it takes a bow.

Madonna's entire romantic discography agrees: don't go for second best.

Madonna's entire romantic discography agrees:

don't go for second best.

The Handoff (Aug 22–27)

On the 22nd, the Sun hits the South Node at the final degree of Leo. Let go of the royalty you were to receive the crown you're actually owed.

On the 23rd, Virgo season begins:

the tour ends and the studio work starts.

Details, service, imperfectly perfect. Mercury follows into Virgo on the 25th after its own South Node meeting: release the outdated ego narratives, as the story you tell about yourself is due for an edit. The Sun-Mercury conjunction on the 27th can deliver one clear idea. Write it down, you’ll want it for what happens next.

August 28: Lunar Eclipse in Pisces, 4° — Live to Tell

Sixteen days after the Leo eclipse takes the mask, this one comes for the myth. The Virgo/Pisces eclipse series has been dissolving things since September 2024. Think back to what cracked open then, and in March + September 2025, and this past March. This is the second-to-last act. The grand finale lands February 2027, and then Virgo and Pisces don't do this again until 2034.

Whatever this series came to dissolve

is now unmistakably almost done dissolving.

Stop trying to glue it back together.

The aspects are loud. The eclipsed Moon opposes Mercury: the fantasy versus the receipts, and at an eclipse, the receipts win. With Uranus in Gemini also involved: the information you didn't ask for, will be arriving at the speed of a group chat. Watch your mouth (and ego), do not press send in anger. The universe is handing you the emotional muscle to act on what surfaces instead of journaling about it for six months. And the kicker: the Moon sits with the North Node. This ending is not a detour from your destiny, but “the destiny.” Whichever door closes is part of the plot.

Even the eclipse's management is aligned, its rulers, Jupiter in Leo and Neptune in Aries, agree on the same memo. What dissolves here gets recycled into fuel. This is the Frozen-into-Ray of Light pivot: grief on side A, transcendence on side B.

This is the Frozen-into-Ray of Light pivot:

grief on side A, transcendence on side B.

August 31: The Encore

The month closes on Jupiter in Leo aligning with Saturn in Aries. Vision is meeting discipline here, this is a wonderful "build the empire" transit, exact just as September opens. Whatever survived both eclipses is what you're meant to scale. This is the aspect that turns a reinvention into a career.

The through-line: August 12 takes the mask. August 28 takes the myth. What's left is you — unstyled, undecorated, and finally interesting. Madonna's been trying to tell us for forty years: the persona is disposable, the nerve is not.

Express yourself,  then let it burn, then take a bow.

FORECASTS FOR THE SIGNS

READ FOR YOUR RISING & SUN

ARIES RISING • SUN • MOON

Lucky Star

The eclipses picked your two most cinematic houses. The total solar eclipse on August 12 in your 5th house with the themes of romance, creativity, pleasure, and the art you keep saying you'll make. This solar eclipse is a creative rebirth that reshapes your entire identity. The twist: release the version of your creativity that performed for validation. The likes were never the point. The work is the point. Whatever you start creating now—a project, a romance, possibly a whole human—wants to be BIG.

Meanwhile Mars, your ruler, moves into Cancer on the 11th: the warrior goes home. Expect the month's real action to happen in private surrounding apartments, family and your foundations. The Mars-Neptune square on the 17th can make home turf tense and foggy, please don't pick fights through a filter of assumption.

The lunar eclipse on the 28th lands in your 12th house, known as the backstage, the subconscious, or the things you don't post. Something you've been carrying invisibly since September 2024 is dissolving for good: this could be a private grief, a secret habit, or a version of you that only existed behind closed doors. Let it go down with the Moon. The release happens at home, possibly mid-conversation, possibly mid-cry. Both count.

Power date: August 31. Jupiter trines Saturn in your sign — creative vision meets personal authority. Whatever survived eclipse season, build it.

TAURUS RISING • SUN • MOON

Home Sweet Home (Renovated)

July was your pleasure era, Venus, your ruler, lit up your 5th house and life felt like a picnic. August changes the channel. Venus moves into Libra on the 6th: pushing your body towards routines and rituals. There's a reason your routine needs redesigning, because the solar eclipse on the 12th hits your home, family and roots, basically your tectonic plates.

This is the big one for you, Taurus. A total eclipse in the foundation of your chart, opening a two-year renovation (eclipses return to this axis through early 2028). Moves, family re-castings, definitely a change in what "home" even means. The South Node flavour asks you to release an inherited script. Maybe it's the family role you've played since childhood, the version of home that belonged to who you were, but not who you're becoming. Even if you don't see it, the restructuring has invisible support: trust the thing quietly ending behind the scenes.

The lunar eclipse on the 28th closes a chapter in your friendships or network. The Virgo/Pisces series has been editing your social circle since September 2024, and this is nearly the final cut. A friendship, a community or a dream you shared with a group: if it's dissolving, it's because it was built for a previous season of you. The closure could come through a honest, but caring, final conversation.

Power date: August 17. Venus sextile Jupiter — beauty in the routine, joy at home. Host the dinner.

GEMINI RISING • SUN • MOON

Into the Groove (Finally)

Your ruler Mercury spent most of July retrograde and you may have spent most of July confused … that was the rehearsal, this is the show. Mercury enters Leo on the 9th, and then the total solar eclipse lands right there on the 12th, aka.your 3rd house of communication, writing, media, siblings, short trips, and the voice, your voice. Imagine a total eclipse next to Jupiter in your zone of saying things. If you've been circling a podcast, newsletter, book, or a channel, the sky just handed you the microphone and dimmed the house lights.

The South Node caveat: release the old voice first. The way you used to talk about yourself, the self-deprecating bit that stopped being funny, or the content you make because it performs rather than because it's true. August 15, Mercury meets Jupiter, which is your luckiest day of the month: pitch it, publish it, post it. The audience that matters is already assembling.

The lunar eclipse on the 28th crowns the other end of your chart, your 10th house of career. This is a culmination: something professional that's been building since September 2024 reaches its visible climax or its graceful ending. A role could complete or a title dissolve. Possibly both in one meeting. The plot twist involves you personally and the same day's Mercury-Uranus square says: do not live-tweet your resignation. Whatever ends, the income question resolves in your favour faster than you fear.

Power date: August 15. Say the thing.

CANCER RISING • SUN • MOON

Material Girl

You're ruled by the Moon, which makes every eclipse season personally addressed to you and last month's Mercury retrograde already made you the headliner. No rest: the total solar eclipse on August 12 lands in your house of money, possessions, and self-worth. With Jupiter right there, this is a wealth portal, but it's a South Node eclipse, so the entry fee is your old pricing. The undercharging. The "exposure" gigs. The reflex of shrinking your invoice to be liked. That dies on the 12th. The money restructure is directly wired to your professional rise. New crown + new rate card.

Mars enters your sign on the 11th, handing you the keys to the whole month: energy, visibility, drive, all in your constellation. Use the Mercury-Jupiter conjunction on the 15th to negotiate, invoice, or launch an offer. (Watch the Mars-Neptune square on the 17th, as career fog could blur the scene, don't sign in the mist.)

Then the lunar eclipse on the 28th illuminates your 9th house of publishing, teaching, travel, foreign connections, and higher education. Something here reaches its destined culmination: the book proposal, the visa, the course, the pilgrimage. This story started September 2024; think back. Your body will feel the green light. When the opportunity lands, you'll already be moving. And the eclipse's ruler Jupiter sits in your money house —>  the expansion abroad feeds the bank account. Teaching, publishing, international anything: and this time priced properly.

Power date: August 31. Jupiter trine Saturn — income meets empire.

LEO RISING • SUN • MOON

Blond Ambition World Tour

Let's not pretend to be calm about this. A total solar eclipse in your sign, while Jupiter, the luckiest planet in the sky, is also in your sign. Leo, this is the single most important month of your reinvention era, and the reinvention era runs until 2028. The last time you got a fresh start of this magnitude was a different decade.

Here's the fine print that makes it art: it's a South Node eclipse. So this isn't "new you" by addition, it's "new you" by subtraction. The persona that's been getting applause on autopilot, the identity you built for an audience that's since changed: that's what the sky repossesses on the 12th. Madonna's entire career in one transit…  burn the persona before it goes stale, publicly, glamorously, and on your own terms. Your new self comes with a new philosophy, possibly a new location, and definitely a new syllabus. And with Mercury kissing Jupiter in your sign on the 15th, the debut gets the best press of the year. Announce yourself!

Money moves too: the lunar eclipse on the 28th lands in your sector of shared finances, debts, intimacy, and other people's resources. One resource closes while another opens: a loan, an investment, a partner's income shift, an inheritance thread from September 2024 could be finally resolving. The 8th house is also where you merge with people, meaning an intimacy pattern dissolves here too, the one where you perform closeness instead of risking it. The real work happens privately. Let it.

Power date: August 22. The Sun meets the South Node at the last degree of your sign — hand back the old crown. The new one's being sized.

VIRGO RISING • SUN • MOON

Live to Tell

Everyone else gets their eclipse in public. Yours happens backstage and that's exactly where the most important things happen. The total solar eclipse on August 12 lands in your 12th house: the hidden sector, the subconscious, the endings that precede beginnings, the year's spiritual clear-out. With Jupiter and Mercury there too, this isn't a small mercy, but a massive one. Something enormous is completing behind the scenes of your life, and you may not fully see what until your birthday season. The South Node asks you to surrender the invisible ego, the private narrative of not-enoughness that no one else can hear but you've been performing to an audience of one for years. The deep psychological restructure holds, this healing is load-bearing.

Then everything goes public. Virgo season starts the 23rd, Mercury (your ruler) enters your sign on the 25th, the Sun-Mercury kiss on the 27th hands you the year's clearest idea and then, on the 28th, the lunar eclipse detonates in your partnership sector. This is your headline event: a relationship climax that's been building since September 2024. Business or romantic, a partnership reaches its truth, whether that's commitment or completion, and by now you will know which. The eclipse opposes Mercury in your sign: you versus them, the receipts versus the fantasy, and you're holding the receipts. The outcome may shake something professional loose. Your people catch you either way.

The Lunar eclispe here is conjunct the North Node, meaning this relationship threshold is the destiny. The door closing is the plot.

Power date: August 27. The bright idea. Write it down before the eclipse makes everything loud.

LIBRA RISING • SUN • MOON

Vogue

July had you working behind the curtain, your planetary ruler Venus was prepping in private. On August 6, Venus, enters your sign and stays through September 9. Charm alarm is correct. This is your annual magnetism peak: beauty, love, and favours flow toward you with minimal effort. The 10th and 11th stack it: the universe is bringing magnetic depth and someone may finally see all of you and stay, then Venus will oppose Neptune in your relationship sector, hello rose-tinted partner goggles, enjoy the dream and verify the person as a genuinely delightful surprise in love is coming. You're the moment.

The sky agrees, because the total solar eclipse on the 12th lights up your networks, community, VIP rooms, and the future you're building with others. A total eclipse conjunct Jupiter here is opening doors: new circles, new collaborators, basically an audience upgrade. The South Node asks one payment: release the network that made sense for who you used to be. The clout-based friendships, the rooms you outgrew but kept RSVPing to. The Venus-Saturn opposition on the 21st runs the same audit in romance: real love passes the reality check, decorative love takes a bow. With Venus in your sign, you're the one holding the clipboard.

The lunar eclipse on the 28th closes out your routines, work habits, health rituals and the daily grind. The schedule that fit your old life dissolves, because your new life doesn't run on it. The routine change serves your career climb directly. Release the grind, keep the discipline.

Power date: August 11. Venus trine Uranus — say yes to the unexpected invitation.

SCORPIO RISING • SUN • MOON

Who's That Girl

The eclipses are aimed straight for your reputation and then your heart. The total solar eclipse on August 12 is setting up a huge spotlight in your 10th house, which is career, public image, and pretty much the version of you that strangers know. This powerful solar eclipse is a professional recasting of the highest order: there could be a new title or new direction, but it's a South Node eclipse, so read the fine print: you have to hand back the old image first. The professional persona you've been maintaining out of habit, the "ideal" you built years ago that no longer matches who runs your life now. Let the public version of you die on the 12th so the real one can take the stage. The daily work supports the rise, yes, you've already done the reps.

Watch the 11th: Mercury will oppose Pluto, bringing a much needed conversation between career and home, ambition and foundation, one sentence at the office lands like an earthquake in the living room, or vice versa. It may not feel soft. Pluto's been renovating your foundations all year; this is the day the renovation gets discussed out loud.

Then the sky rewards you: the lunar eclipse on the 28th peaks in the area of romance, creativity, pleasure, passion, or possibly even the baby department. This is a delicious eclipse for you. Something you've been creating or falling for since September 2024 reaches its full emotional crescendo. An infatuation reveals what it actually is, or an art project completes. A joy you'd deferred finally demands the spotlight. The passion may involve distance, travel, or someone who expands your worldview entirely. The heart wants an odyssey. Book it.

Power date: August 15. Mercury conjunct Jupiter in your 10th — the career pitch of the season. Ask big.

SAGITTARIUS RISING • SUN • MOON

Like a Prayer (Answered)

Jupiter, your ruler, your patron, your whole personality entered Leo in late June, and life's been expanding at the seams since. Now comes the crescendo: the total solar eclipse on August 12 lands in your 9th house. Sagittarius, the 9th house is your house—travel, philosophy, publishing, teaching, foreign horizons, the big questions—and it's hosting a total eclipse conjunct your own ruling planet. This is the most Sagittarian event the sky can schedule. The world tour officially opens.

Concretely: a journey, a relocation, a book, a course, a visa, a spiritual pivot, something that redraws your map. The South Node asks you to release the old belief system first: the philosophy you inherited rather than chose, the worldview that fit the person you were before Jupiter came home. With the eclipse being supported by Saturn, the adventure has a creative backbone. Keep an eye out on the people around you. Uranus in Gemini has been electrifying your partnerships since May, and the Mercury-Uranus sparkly beam on the 12th suggests the odyssey may come with a co-pilot. Maybe it's a partner sweeping you off on the adventure. Maybe you're the sweep.

The lunar eclipse on the 28th culminates in your home, family and roots sector, the other end of the journey. Something domestic that's been dissolving since September 2024 reaches its final form, for example a move could complete, or a family chapter closes, a definition of "home" gets rewritten to fit a life that's suddenly much bigger. Some of you are literally packing boxes. The logistics could resolve smoother than expected. The question of the month: where do you settle when the whole world is your oyster?

Power date: August 31. Jupiter trine Saturn — the grand vision meets the disciplined craft. Buy the ticket, start the manuscript, say the prayer.

CAPRICORN RISING • SUN • MOON

Papa Don't Preach (I'm Keeping My Autonomy)

You've been quietly rebuilding your entire foundation: home, family, roots, the rules you inherited versus the rules you're writing. You're the adult now. Your house —>  your structure. August makes the finances match the architecture.

The total solar eclipse on August 12 lands in your 8th house, known for shared money, investments, inheritance, debts, mergers, other people's resources. With Jupiter right there, this is a wealth-restructuring portal, such as a windfall, an investment maturing, finances merging with a partner, an inheritance thread, a loan approved or finally paid off. The South Node asks what you release: the old financial entanglement, the dependency that quietly cost more than it paid, or the money story you inherited along with the family furniture. The financial shift could structurally be connected to home and family. Property, family money, a foundation literally being funded. When the 8th house and the 4th house shake hands under a total eclipse, generational patterns get renegotiated. You're the one holding the pen.

Note the 11th: Mercury will oppose Pluto, which means there could be money conversation with X-ray vision. Contracts, debts, who-owes-whom. Uncomfortable, but necessary.

The lunar eclipse on the 28th peaks in your 3rd house, which brings the astrological catalogue of communication, siblings, skills, short trips, and the local world. News could arrive, possibly through or about a sibling. A skill you've been building since September 2024 reaches its exam day: mastery culminates or the learning chapter closes so the doing chapter can start. A short trip may carry disproportionate weight. A partner (business or romantic) is your ally in whatever gets announced. The same day's Mercury-Uranus square says triple-check the message before sending as eclipse-day words travel further than intended.

Power date: August 17. Mercury trine Saturn — words and structure align. Sign it, file it, formalize it.

AQUARIUS RISING • SUN • MOON

Cherish

Let's establish the stakes: the entire Leo/Aquarius eclipse series, the one running until 2028, is fundamentally about you. The North Node is in your sign. February's eclipse (also in your sign) was your turning point, and you've felt the transformation pressure building up for two years straight, thanks to Pluto(in your sign!). Now comes the payoff chapter: the total solar eclipse on August 12 lands in your partnership arena. The biggest relationship portal of your decade. No matter in love or business, a partner arrives, levels up, or reveals themselves…someone built to shine with you, not instead of you.

The South Node subtlety: to receive the new partnership, and release the old relational script. Release the pattern of choosing partners who need fixing, or dimming yourself to keep the peace, or intellectualising intimacy from a safe distance (you know the one). With Jupiter conjunct the eclipse in your partnership sector, the incoming connection is generous, warm, and slightly larger than life. It could start with a conversation and hold because the communication holds. The Sun opposite the North Node in your sign on the 22nd is the mirror moment: the crown you hand back is the "I'm fine alone" tiara. It's done.

Meanwhile Uranus, your ruler, is making your creative and romantic life gloriously unpredictable (yes, including the surprise-baby genre for some of you), and Saturn has you mastering a skill through unglamorous daily reps. Both matter this month, because the lunar eclipse on the 28th culminates in your income sector. A money chapter that started September 2024 closes: a revenue stream ends or a job completes. Don't despair, this is the oldest eclipse rule in the book: the closing source makes room for the opening one, and the new one pays for the skills you're currently building. The daily work is already generating the replacement. Keep practicing.

Power date: August 12. The partnership eclipse. Show up as the whole grand thing you are, and let someone match it.

PISCES RISING • SUN • MOON

Ray of Light

Deep breath. Everyone gets an eclipse month… you get an eclipse addressed to you. The lunar eclipse on August 28 happens in your sign, the second-to-last act of the eclipse series that's been rebuilding you since September 2024, but first, the setup.

The solar eclipse on August 12 lands in your sector of work, routines, health, basically the daily fabric. With Jupiter there, your traditional ruler, spending the year making you employee of the century, this eclipse opens a genuinely golden door: a new gig, a health turnaround, or a routine that finally fits the body and life you actually have. The South Node's price of admission: let go of a way of living that doesn't fit anymore. The schedule built around someone else's priorities, the self-sacrifice dressed up as service, or the habit you keep because quitting feels like admitting something. The new routine pays… literally.

Then the main event. August 28: the Moon eclipses in your sign, your name on the poster. This is the universe putting you personally on the spot, a culmination of everything the Virgo/Pisces series has been dissolving and rebuilding in you for two years. Think back: September 2024, March 2025, this past March. Same story, final chapters. Eclipses in someone’s personal sign change the cast list: some people get eclipsed out of your life, or—plot twist—it's you leaving theirs. Either way, on to the next ocean. A partner or partnership holds up the mirror, and the reflection demands a decision. Home and family feel the tremor. Your joy + creativity + passion is the escape hatch and the engine both. What you love pulls you through what you're leaving.

And here's the cosmic kindness: this lunar eclipse is conjunct the North Node(out of sign). The you that's emerging isn't a detour from your destiny. It is the destiny. The grand finale comes February 2027… by then, the person reading next year's horoscope won't recognise the one reading this.

Power date: August 6. Sun trine Saturn — get serious about what your heart wants early, so the eclipses know where to deliver it.
